dream chairs...

We picked up our dinning room chairs last night. I'm not really proud of where we got them ("PIER ONE") but needless to say I LOVE THEM. They have that rustic old barn feel that makes me smile everytime I see them. The picture shows them as being espresso colored but we picked out red chairs. It's so awesome. So come on over to give them a try. You won't be disappointed!

Back + Forth

Facebook... A cult world of networking.

I've been preaching on how facebook is a world of gossip since you are able read the conversations between people and thus the reason I deleted my account last summer. Instead I started up my blog where its only my world + my thoughts.

I got thinking the other day that if I went back to facebook I would only add the people who are family + good friends that I can't keep in contact with everyday. Not these long lost friends from high school that don't mean a hill of beans to me + just want to get the scoop on my life anyways. It like attending your high reunion all over (which I didn't attend). So with that being said, I have joined the facebook world again. Don't be offend if I don't add you as "my friend". Its nothing personal. I probably see you everyday + don't need to communicate with you via facebook. We'll see how it goes + if I don't delete the account in a few weeks.

Wednesday blues.

Bad day.

Long story short... our mortgage lady had dropped the ball and the appraisal was just done yesterday. Can you believe it? We put an offer on the house a month ago. Needless to say, the appraisal came back with a few needed updates to the house. Before the complete approval can happen for the FHA loan these updates need to happen ( a few outlets need to be grounded). Unreal. I'm so frustrated I could scream. We're hoping for a miracle to close tomorrow otherwise Friday + I will have to give Chris Power of Attorney to sign for me since I will be leaving to Indiana Friday morning. Grrrrrr....

I know it's not a huge deal because we will move. It's just that Chris + I are excited to move. Plus it messes with our schedule + the moving truck. I should just plan for Monday so I stop beating myself up about it.

the little man...

He's getting bigger + oh so percious. We changed his name to "Juice". We thought that would be fitting since we have Mr. Orange. It just goes! The lady that we are getting him from is so awesome at sending us weekly pictures of him. Only 3 more weeks!!!

a gift from God...

That's right. I signed up Archie for puppy training. It'll be great. We aren't taking any chances on training this puppy on our own. He WILL be trained + trained correctly!

I might be ahead of schedule but who cares. I like to know that all the puppy stuff is done + taken care of. Well it's not exactly done... there will pee + poop + tearing of my shoes... yeah I know that. But Chris + I will have enough to handle in the month of April that the last thing I want to worry about is signing him up for puppy school. I wish they had cat school. Mr. Orange could use a little whopping into shape. He's kind of a cat-diva!


June 9th is start date!!!!

No offense to my gracious + giving in-laws but I think we both can agree that it's time to go. =) We are getting very antsy to pack up and have our own place again. Pray for a smooth closing.

Sweet Saturday.

Saturday morning was a chill morning. I watched tv with orange + Chris played guitar (the usual). Then we headed out to Caribou to surf the internet + read a book. We wanted to check out the Caribou by our new house. Ya know... get a feel for our new neighborhood! We get our drinks + settle in. By the way, don't fall for the large drink $1 bakery special they have going on. You save like 60cents + you get more calories. Stupid! Anyways... Chris gets the computer out and hooks up to the internet but quickly finds that their internet was down. BUMMER!!!

We enjoyed each other's company for awhile + then darted off to Babies R US for a baby gift for my sister. Babies R US is a crazy place. Women get to know each other there because they frequent the place so often. Weird!

I accomplished cleaning my car. This was much needed as I haven't cleaned it since last summer. Well... okay it wasn't that bad. Chris + I are just annal about keeping our cars clean. I have heard that the way you keep your car is an example of your personality + the way you keep your house. What does your car look like???

Dinner: Grilled Pork Chops, Beans + Potatoes.
Entertainment: Movie "Taken"

We skipped FFN movie night as we had a better offer from friends (brother + sister in law) to eat at Outback Steak House. We couldn't resist.

little blessings...

-I sit right next to the fax/printer at work which allows me to swing around and not even move an inch from my chair. It's not good for my ambition... but I can get a lot done.

-I chew A LOT of gum + I still don't have any signs of TMJ... knock on wood.

-I'm thankful that even though I drink several mocha's a week they still taste good to me every time.

-Hair stylist that can fix a bad haircut!!!! LOVE THEM.

-Peanut M & M's. A mid-day supplement.

-The month of April because we are MOVING!!!

-The exclamation point "!" brings happiness to my life.

-My blackberry + it's awesome applications.

-My lamp on my desk that gives me a sense of home + comfort.

-A world that allows me the freedom to experience FFN's!

-Coffee shops. Where I soak up inspiration.

-Photography. The kind that makes your head freak.

-Warm baths with good smelly bath salt. Yum!

-TAX REBATES!!!!!

-I'm thankful that my sister is having a baby before me. Then she can tell me all about it. At that time I will make the decision whether or not I will have children.=)

-Cable TV for long nights of TLC!!!!!!

-My skills to bake cookies + treats. It's a blessing + a curse.

-I'm thankful that my boss leaves periodically during the day. Obviously, I blog while he's gone. he-he!

FFN...

If you aren't in the loop FFN means Friday Fun Night. This has been something Chris + I have done for a very long time. It makes our life exciting and something to kick off the weekend. Usually, FFN has consisted of dinner + a movie. Popcorn with butter is a must with a Pepsi and LOTS of napkins. I will shout it proud that I usually eat the entire bucket of popcorn and finish it off with licking my fingers. Kidding, I made up the last part about licking my fingers- gross!!!! Theater popcorn is THE BEST! Dinner is usually Old Chicago pizza unless friends call us up for a better option. Game night!

This summer FFN with probably turn into Friday Fire Night!!! We have a grand fire pit in our backyard that we will be using often. I love the smell of a camp fire and how relaxing it is to just sit and gaze into to the flames. Or when it gets so hot your knees burn. Ahhhh! There probably won't be buttered popcorn at Friday Fire Night but a good ol' roasted marshmella or a grilled hamburger will do the trick.

I'm in a hurry

You got it... "I'm in a hurry" that rediculous song by Alabama. It's actually a really stupid catchy tune. While I heard it on the radio I thought, "WOW, I totally feel like that sometimes." Here are the lyrics.

This summer my goal is to slow down and to 'stop + smell the rose' so to speak. I am SO looking forward to it too.

Good idea-Gone bad.

This morning I have scheduled 2 wedding consults at Caribou (of course) in Woodbury. They are sisters both getting married in September two weeks apart.

Well... Who knew that this Caribou just might be the only existing coffee shop in the city of Woodbury. There are people EVERWHERE. Not a table to be found. Luckily just as I was looking for a place to sit a table of 4 left. That was close. It would have been awkward standing against a wall waiting + sipping my mocha.

I'm sitting down and waiting noticing that everyone that walks through the door is ''looking'' for someone. Oh geezz... I hope these girls can find me. I shot them a text msg. The proper way to communicate these days. So we shall see. To prove my observation, a girl walks up to me and asks, "Are you Sara?"

What is adorable is the retired gentlemen next to me that probably meet for coffee every Saturday. As they leave their table they comment + complain about the projects they have to get done today, "I've got to go pay taxes.", I need to clean my garage." Old men! Funny bunch!

I might have to find a different meeting place in the future. Although this people watching is very entertaining for me.

Interesting.

This morning I was driving to work on 242/Main Street. If you have every driven on this road you will understand that the potholes are tremendous. I swear one of these days they are going to put my car in the shop. It "seems" to be getting worse everyday. I even commented about it to my sister on my way into work. So...funny thing happens at work. I was enjoying a caramel dove chocolate and you know how they have those cute sayings in the wrapper... this is what mine said.

"Forget the potholes in the road and celebrate the journey instead!"

I about threw up my chocolate. FREAKY! So now I've been thinking about my "journey". Am I suppose to be anticipating work every morning and at night anticipate my evening. Or it could be saying that I am suppose to enjoy my head being tossed around while I drive over these potholes. Hmmmm, something for me to think about.
