A hedge used by any employer during a job interview that can mean: a) “I don’t like you, so I’m hoping you’ll forget about this conversation”: b) “I kind of like you, but I’m pretty sure there’s someone better out there or at least someone we won’t have to pay as much”: or c) “We’re really very early on in our search, and I know HR won’t get it together to bring someone on here in less than six months, so don’t hold your breath.”
